Wimbledon 2014: Andy Murray Rescues Lost Dog on Way to Practice

25 June 2014

UK - It's nice to see that despite his subdued manner on court, Andy Murray will go out of his way to help a stray animal, after coming to the rescue of a lost dog this week, on his way to tennis practice.

With Wimbledon 2014 in full swing, you could forgive the reigning champion for not noticing a wandering pooch.

However, the Scot has told the BBC how he spotted the lost labradoodle running around in traffic on his way to practice from his Surrey home.

Andy Murray told BBC Sport: "I called the number on the [dogs] tag and amazingly my two dogs walk with that dog quite a lot, so when I met the owner she was happy I'd picked it up."
