Keep Pets Away from Ice Bucket Challenge Warns Battersea

UK - Battersea's urging pet owners not to involve animals in the Ice Bucket Challenge that's taking the world by storm.

Thousands of pounds have so far been raised for good causes but this challenge should only ever involve brave and willing human volunteers.

As an animal welfare charity Battersea is very concerned by new films showing puppies and dogs being dunked in icy water or having cold water thrown on them.

This is really distressing for the animals involved and something they strongly discourage.

Battersea understands that many people are raising lots of money for charities through the Challenge and applaud all the brave people that are more than willing to show their support for a cause they believe in.
