AUSTRALIA - Veterinarians from the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) will gather in Launceston this weekend to hear from a range of cardiorespiratory specialists on new and emerging treatments.

The conference is being hosted by AVA’s Tasmanian Division. Executive Officer, Angela Offord said they were thrilled to have an excellent line-up of speakers.

“Our annual Tasmanian conference will feature Dr Sebastian Gordon who is the only specialist surgeon in the state. Cardiology specialist Dr Richard Woolley will talk about distinguishing between cardiac and respiratory diseases in cats and dogs.

“We also have animal behaviourist Dr Gabrielle Carter who will cover topics on stress free vet visits for pets and handling distressed animals.”

Other veterinarians will be delivering sessions on nutritional management of gastrointestinal diseases, caring for the cardiac patient and radiologic evaluation of the cardiovascular system.

The Australian Veterinary Association Tasmanian Division conference will be held 14-16 November at The Country Club, Launceston. For more information, click here.
