Santa Teams up with RSPCA to Remind Parents Pets are Big Commitment

UK - He receives lots of letters each year from children asking for new furry friends, but Santa has teamed up with the RSPCA to ensure the right message is passed on to parents - getting a pet is a serious commitment rather than a convenient present.

That is why the RSPCA has formed a new festive partnership with Santa.co.uk.

Every time you buy something from their website, they will make a donation to us. This means that with each and every purchase, you will be helping sick and injured animals have a better Christmas in our care.

Santa.co.uk is a website dedicated to sending personalised greetings from Santa himself - anything from a text message or phone call to a letter or DVD.

Steve Bottomley, managing director of Santa.co.uk, said: “Partnering with the RSPCA is very special to my heart. As an animal lover I am so thrilled to be able to support such a wonderful cause at a time when many of the families that interact with Santa.co.uk are considering a pet Christmas.

“I believe we have an ideal platform to educate parents and carers of the importance of understanding the lifelong commitment they would be undertaking when owning a pet.

“It is a message we can deliver seamlessly whilst spreading some Christmas magic via our personalised letters, phone calls and texts from Santa.”

Leanne Copp, RSPCA corporate account manager, said: “Christmas is a fantastic time of year with lots of people giving and receiving presents as part of the festivities. However, we are always keen to stress that pets shouldn’t be given as a present, so to have Santa share that message is fantastic.

“A much better way to help animals in need is to arrange a message from Santa himself via Santa.co.uk so that you, your family and animals can all enjoy a very merry Christmas.”
