Star-crossed Pups Looking for New Family for Valentines Day

11 February 2015
Dogs Trust

UK - Dogs Trust West Calder is appealing for a new home for star crossed pups Barney and Cara, just in time for Valentines Day.

Labrador crosses Barney (seven) and Cara (ten) have a very deep bond after being brought into the Dogs Trust West Calder rehoming centre in Bentyhead, together as strays.

Not much is known about their background, but Barney and Cara are the perfect couple who keep their kennels clean and tidy, so the team at the centre believe they have lived in a home environment and are house-trained.

Kim McGregor, Assistant Manager at Dogs Trust West Calder says: "Barney and Cara are our very own Romeo and Juliet. They love one another dearly, and pine for each other when they are separated. Their 'love tail' goes from strength to strength every day, and Cara loves nothing more than a romantic walk with her toy boy."

Barney needs a family who will be able to spend lots of time with him, but is a fast learner who would love to be taught some new tricks to impress Cara, who thoroughly enjoys snuggling on the sofa, and is sweet and friendly to absolutely everyone she meets.

If you can help Barney and Cara stay together this Valentines Day, please contact Dogs Trust West Calder on 0300 303 0292
