BSAVA: Vets Increase 'Cat Friendly' Status

01 May 2015

UK - The International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) returned from this year’s BSAVA Congress delighted by the amount of great ‘cattitude’ experienced from Congress attendees.

The charity collected a record number of online applications from clinics hoping to gain accreditation after both vets and vet nurses flocked to the stand.

Claire Bessant, Chief Executive of International Cat Care (the parent charity of ISFM) said: "It feels as though we are turning a corner, with more and more vets now really keen to show their clients that they have great cat credentials – and the clearest way to demonstrate this is by becoming a Cat Friendly Clinic."

As part of the new look programme, there is now increased help and advice available to anyone wishing to make their clinic more cat friendly.

There is also a bronze level of accreditation available for those clinics which have the ‘cattitude’ but whose facilities may previously have prevented them from becoming accredited.
