Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease Hits Tunisian Rabbit Farm

TUNISIA - A rabbit farm in the Kairouan region of Tunisia has suffered from a large number of cases of rabbit haemorrhagic disease.

There were 500 cases out of a susceptible population of 1000 animals. 150 rabbits died from the disease, 50 were destroyed and 150 were slaughtered.

The disease was discovered as sick animals of various ages showed anorexia, epistaxis and diarrhoea.
