Should Animal Welfare be Taught in Schools?

06 August 2015

UK - Animal welfare should be taught to children in schools in order to help change traditional attitudes on how to keep animals, said vet and author Emma Milne.

Teaching children about animal welfare is an important component of Emma's new Pet Detective book 'Are Rabbits the Right Pet for You: Can You Find the Facts'.

Children are naturally very empathetic said Ms Milne. And whilst many adults still stick with traditional attitudes on how to look after animals, we are relying on today's kids to change these attitudes on animal welfare so that the next generation can get it right.
