BBC Looking for Vets to Present New TV Show

11 April 2016

UK - BBC Science has approached the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) in its search to find vets who might be interested in becoming a BBC TV expert presenter. No previous media experience is required.

BBC Science is looking for qualified vets to present a major new BBC TV series on veterinary medicine.

The series will investigate the truth behind the headlines on what’s best for your pet, and explore the latest innovations in animal medicine – with the aim of educating the public on how to keep our pets healthy and happy.

The presenters will be passionate about working with animals, and have great communications skills to engage viewers in a range of different stories. The BBC supports equal opportunities and wants to reflect the UK’s diverse population. Candidates from ethnic minority backgrounds and those with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

To apply, record a short video of yourself on your smartphone in which you describe your area of expertise and the most common questions you are asked.

Send this with your CV, photo and contact details to vets@bbc.co.uk

The application deadline is 17 April 2016.
